The Sunday Hour is Growing (Update)

The Sunday now has a 4th broadcast slot. The popularity is growing and we are getting more and more dialogue with various people and organisations with the church both traditional and new. As we are all restricted in our movements at this time and for the foreseeable future, it is good that we can bring the worship to you all through your radios and computers, this is reflected in now having a 4th broadcast slot added at GFM Community Radio

Am very pleased to say that we now have a Prime slot in the schedule at GFM107.1 broadcasting at 10am and will be repeated at 6pm each and every Sunday. We have all been working hard to promote The Sunday Hour, not just on social media but also within the community in the 107.1FM footprint, and also throughout the world with the on-line platform broadcasting at SeaBird Radio and gfm.org.uk

The Sunday Hour will be in its 33rd week on Easter Sunday, and quite different from when I made the first programme, broadcast on 8th September on SeaBird Radio, in Norfolk,  at 7am.

We now have 2 distinctive promotional Posters for SeaBird Radio and GFM107.1 You will see them across all Social Media Platforms as well as the SeaBird and GFM Websites.

The Sunday Hour now has 4 “Broadcasting on Air” slots each Sunday. 8am; 10am; 6pm; and 8pm. It has been a passion of mine and I get a thrill each week, researching the music, picking up the requests, building a play list and time frame. Preparing a loose script along with notes for each segment. Liasing with various bodies and groups, emailing and communicating with Churches, Traditional and New Plants. Then there is the updating of the Radio Links on this website, any mention has to be researched to ensure the information posted here is accurate and up to date. All the links and scanned notices will be directly accessible with “Click Links” to the relevant web pages, people  just access this website and then go to the “Sunday Hour Links” information that was broadcast on The Sunday Hour. I have tried to make it as “friendly” as possible so that there is no need to be a computer expert, and if there are questions to be asked, we have a contact page that allows anyone to email me with queries or, and as importantly to be able to send in requests and dedications.  Contact Page

We have been evolving over the months and our regular segments each week include  Pastor Julian Richards and his Thought for the day;  Reverend Diana Greenfield  with her own unique and personal thoughts and prayer.

Each week we read from the  Bear Grylls  book “Soul Fuel-A Daily Devotional” Many of you will know Bear Grylls the great Survivalist/Adventurer and member of Her Majesty’s SAS, but Bear is also a devout Christian. He has a great association with  Alpha Course

“Nature has taught Bear some important lessons, and behind every feat is a story of grit, determination, and strength found in faith. In Soul Fuel, Bear shares the backstories behind many of his most daring expeditions and how his faith gave him the purpose and power to carry on in 365 devotions as he explores themes of hope, courage, risk, heaven, and more. Bear says:”I often don’t feel very strong. Life can be a battle. We all feel that from time to time. But any strength I do have seems to come in the quiet moments at the start of my day. It comes when I am on my own, on my knees. It comes from taking time to be still with God. . . . So for me, starting my day like this really helps. It is like food. Like good fuel for the soul”   Bear Grylls – Wikipedia    Bear Grylls – Facebook
