09/06/2019 – The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit…..

Its been a while since I wrote a blog, and to be honest I never wanted to write just for the sake of writing, but I have been encouraged to start again by my 2 best friends, and others too. So I have taken my time to actually sit down and think about the direction I want to go with my blog site. I have been continuing with my cycling hobby, although the weather has not been the best, and bought some Trax Rollers to keep the cycling going during the bad weather (separate Blog to follow)

Recently I have been thinking about the Book of John, and in 3: we hear about Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish Ruling Council, he knew  that Jesus was a teacher sent from God, knowing that God was within him. Jesus says “…no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again” No one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of Water and Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to Spirit. You must be born again. 3:8  “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear it sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from, or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit”

Those who believe may have eternal life, no one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven-The Son of Man, so, The Son of Man must be lifted up so that everyone who believes may have Eternal Life, Nicodemus listened intently to these words…. God loved the world so much that he gave his only son so that whoever believes in him shall not perish, God did not send his son to condemn the world but to save the world thru him. Those who believe in him are not condemned , but those who don’t believe are already condemned.

John 3:19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world but people loved darkness instead of Light because their deeds were evil”. Those who live in the dark will not step into the light because they fear their deeds will be exposed.

When my son Gavin died many years ago, I retreated from the Light of the Lord, and was in the wilderness. finding an Amazing Christian friend in HK and then travelling to the Philippines, I came back via an Alpha Course, https://alpha.org.uk/try Really enlightening course and worth attending another. In short I found the Seed and have been a member for over 2 years since… My faith has grown and grown, am an active member of our church and enjoy all things The Seed.

I wanted to tell everyone about something that happened last Sunday during our service, something wholly unexpected and the oddest thing. We are an evangelical church and we were into our 3 song, which was finishing and Sarah started openly praying (this is a great part of our church) Her passion was evident, continuing to pray her voice got louder and louder, almost as if she was shouting for God to listen, I felt something very powerful going on, something rising within me, it felt like Sarah was insisting God listen to the prayers, protect us and listen to our worship, “He is our Lord, God Almighty!!” I felt as if a wind was approaching me, it gained access to my body, and it felt as if this very cool wind was exploring me trying to find something, I felt very very calm, almost as if anaethsised, but fully aware….. My heart fluttered and the tears formed in my eyes, I was completely transfixed with Sarah on her every word, completely paralysed feeling this strange cool breeze wandering around my body. As I said “In Jesus name Amen” Sarah looked to me and said “I have no idea where that came from, I had the Holy Spirit” I started clapping and smiling as I knew at that moment that the Holy Spirit had touched us both, it was a very surreal moment. I then started taking notes, Part the Waters God, We Trust You,We Care, You Protect Us, Your Power Your Voice. The Holy Spirit moved through Sarah and in to me. Tears, feeling of calm and a calling. Listener of all. He is our knowledge, strong voice.

I had been having a conversation with my Best Friend who was trying to find a name for her new Studio, being set up with 2 friends. Her business “Psalm23” was moving into a new studio https://www.instagram.com/psalm23_oils/

This was indeed a visit from The Holy Spirit, I believe …………….
