Departing for some Solitude and warmth

Sitting here I am thinking about friendship, family and God

My two best friends are going through some personal problems in their lives and I wanted to recognise that these are the times when one offers help and support, even though sometimes it will not affect the outcome. Tough times call for tough measures and faith. Faith comes in many forms I guess, I had faith when I was younger, faith in the Lord, but I lost that faith for many, many years, but I was led back and now am well into my spiritual journey, acknowledging that indeed God is real and he does indeed love all. It is my faith and my journey that compels me to pray for these two friends, and hope that all will be well within their families. Life can be very hard when  all things are thrown at us, but having faith is very powerful, and I know from personal experience that God does indeed move in mysterious ways

Finding The Seed after so long was my saviour, I am in no doubt about that. My life had been colourful and I am happy where I am now,  all our church members are exceptional people and I have a whole new family of friends from our church.

Recently we had a Baptism at The Seed it was an amazing sight and a very moving experience, a full immersion, performed by Pastor Julian Richards This was a first for our church, our first baptism! I have never seen a full immersion baptism, and it was indeed a moving experience. Very, very emotional , a full immersion into the Holy Spirit, I would imagine the feeling to be like diving into the Body of Christ. With the water flowing all over ones body, the Holy Spirit completely engulfing you, pouring the warmth of the Holy Spirit into your body and your soul. The baptism is Cleansing. The Baptism is indeed your belief and acceptance that God is your saviour, the recognition that he is indeed your one and only true God.  My own Baptism was the water sprinkled across my forehead as a baby, but because Baptism is your own true recognition of Christ, and you are accepting, the “The Baby Baptism” is not your own true acceptance of God. I can imagine the euphoric feeling and experiencing the Holy Spirit and acceptance of Christ the Lord, and think that I too should experience this full immersion Baptism. Afterwards there was food and a lot of merriment. Our church is very devoted but we all have enjoyment, and indeed laughter is always welcome. In our first year or so we have (sadly) sent Tony to his place in Heaven and welcomed Elisha through her baptism to The Lord and to The Seed. We are indeed a family.

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all and in all. But to each of us grace is given as Christ apportioned it. Ephesians 4: 4-7
